The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is ‘The Research University in the Helmholtz Association’. As the only German university of excellence with large-scale national research, we offer our students, researchers and employees unrivalled learning, teaching and working conditions. The roots of the university education centre go back to 1825. KIT took its present form when the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and the Karlsruhe Research Centre merged in 2009.
The Technical University of Darmstadt is a synonym for excellent, relevant science. Global transformations – from the energy transition via Industry 4.0 to artificial intelligence – are posing enormous challenges. We are playing a crucial role in helping to shape these far-reaching processes of change with outstanding insights and forward-looking study opportunities.
